Best way to test out the unsubscribe feature during the Free Trial?

Question:

To test the unsubscribe sync, I unsubscribed a contact from NetSuite, and I unsubscribed a contact through Mailchimp. I waited 2 days and then checked their accounts on both sides, and nothing changed for either.  What gives?

Answer:

In a SyncApps Free Trial, we sync unlimited Contacts or Leads from NetSuite CRM and unsubscribes will be synced from your CRM. Regarding Mailchimp to NetSuite unsubscribe sync, SyncApps only sets opted-out status from those synced records from NetSuite CRM.
 
For Unsubscribe functional testing:
  • use a new Mailchimp List (empty)
  • create a NetSuite Saved Search to control what email addresses should be synced
  1. Input NetSuite Saved Search in Step 1 of Sync Profile. Be sure that this NetSuite Saved Search has at least 100 test records in it.
  2. Input Mailchimp List (empty) in Step 2 of Sync Profile
  3. Save Sync Profile 
  4. Tap Sync Now: SyncApps will copy these selected NetSuite contacts to Mailchimp
  5. Unsubscribe one of the contacts in Mailchimp
  6. Do Sync: SyncApps will set global opted out status in NetSuite
  7. Set one of the synced contacts in NetSuite as opted out (Soft-Opt Out)
  8. Tap Sync Now again: SyncApps will unsubscribe the contact in Mailchimp

This will completely test the unsubscribe functionality in SyncApps and get you started on the plan of your choice.
