Updating Salesforce Campaigns records with their Mailchimp Group preferences from a custom website form or Update Profile Form

Use Case:

We have been having a lot of trouble with the Mailchimp for Salesforce software.

People who get added to a Campaign are added to the appropriate Mailchimp Group/Tag, but if they get removed (or they change their preferences on our website via a non-Mailchimp form), this does not get captured in Salesforce.

Is Cazoomi able to remove people from Groups/Tags based on Salesforce Campaign removals?

And if we were to use the Mailchimp subscription form instead of our custom Drupal form, would that work better. Another issue: when people unsubscribe from our emails, they do not get removed from the Salesforce campaign. Can Cazoomi help with that?

Cazoomi:

Thanks and certainly.

Let's address both questions below:

Yes, the only way to manage Group preferences is by using the Mailchimp Update profile form which used their embedded webhooks technology.  No other form will suffice to be able to update CRM using the mapped fields in Step 4 of your integration.

When a person unsubscribes in Mailchimp we only mark their record in Salesforce as "Email Opt Out" or to a custom field, which you can use a workflow/trigger/process to remove from a Campaign if needed in Salesforce once that field is checked.
