Now, let's take a look at a few related topics when it comes to the sync history of SyncApps & Salesforce reporting.

In this example, the subscriber sent a blast earlier this week to 2000+ recipients, but only 1649 show as updated. They were curious to know why the others didn’t update. This might require a dive into the data to ensure everyone is accounted for.

Perhaps they were leads that were added to Mailchimp before the SyncApps were deployed?

If you have this same type of question, then the first place to start is at the 1649 figure are email addresses retrieved from campaigns in Step 2 of the Mailchimp and Salesforce integration you've set up.

It's important to keep in mind that email addresses that are Cleaned and Unsubscribed won't be synced.

Additionally, if Mailchimp has over 2000 recipients, comparing the numbers may not be possible because some contacts in Mailchimp may not be present in the selected campaigns. To address these issues, it's best practice to sync all leads in another integration as well. Doing so can help alleviate any potential reporting problems and ensure that all relevant information is captured.

For starters let's look at how Campaign Response from Mailchimp works.

SyncApps will create a Campaign in Salesforce for each Mailchimp campaign you send to your Main Audience or any Groups under it.

If you are using Mailchimp Tags or Groups for the segmentation in Step 2 of your integration when someone is removed from a synced Campaign in Salesforce, the Tag will also be removed in Mailchimp, or in the case of Groups; they will be removed as well.

If we check in Salesforce for the reported activity in terms of Opens, Clicks, Bounces, etc., SyncApps tracks the number of clicks, opens, and bounces for each record in campaigns. You will just need to put the fields into the appropriate layout(s).
