Salesforce Segmentation To Multiple Mailchimp Group Categories


Need to create Mailchimp Groups from your Salesforce Campaign(s), List View(s), or Checkboxes in CRM?

Great find! This article will walk you through these requirements.

Let's check out how to set this up in Step 1 of your integration.

Salesforce Campaigns/List Views to Mailchimp Groups Set Up

Now, let's try the most common use case with Salesforce Campaigns/List Views, which will allow us to integrate each Salesforce Campaign into a Mailchimp Group under a Group Category.

Tap the browse button and select the specific Campaign(s)/List View(s). Make sure that these Campaign(s)/List View(s) are active and that you've added at least 1 Contact record per Campaign/List View.

For example, you have these selected Salesforce Campaigns/List View in Step 1 of the Set Up:

  • Test 1
  • Test 2
  • Test 3 

If done, hit the "Next" button to save the new update.

In Step 2 of the Set Up, the selected Salesforce Campaign(s)/List View(s) will show up and get assigned to which existing Mailchimp Group under their specified Audience to sync. You can also create a new Group by inputting a new Group name.

Next, enable the toggle switch so that the Campaign/List View records will be synced to the specific Group under each of the Group Categories you are selecting. 

Once done setting up, hit the Save button and then Reset Sync Process and resync.

Once the synchronization is complete, you can verify that your Mailchimp Audience has been updated. The Salesforce Campaign(s) or List View(s) will now be synchronized with the designated Mailchimp Group(s) for each Mailchimp Group Category that was specified in the integration.

Another common use case is also using CRM Checkboxes on records to control which Groups under which Group Category in Mailchimp your records are added to in the integration.


Once enabled, you will be able to set up Checkbox fields to Mailchimp Groups in Step 1 of your integration.
